With two engineering degrees, Gabriele started his career in the corporate environment, starting off as a graduate engineer for V.Group, the world's largest ship management and marine services company.
After taking up various roles across the organisation, living in Monaco, the UK, Cyprus and Singapore, Gabriele raised quickly to the ranks to become the company's youngest Commercial Director after only 5 years.
His exposure to multiple businesses and cultures sparked his entrepreneurial fire and led him to found his own startup - BLK, in 2018.
In just 3 years, BLK went from idea to one of the UK's top tech companies, with a commodity marketplace hosting over $1B-worth of commodities and raw materials and growth rates in excess of 270% per quarter.
Gabriele joined Enry's Island as a founder, entering an intensive incubation and acceleration programme, before taking up more prominent roles, supporting the ecosystem's commercial and fundraising activities and striking a deal that allowed Enry's Island to land in the US.
In January 2022, Gabriele was appointed as Chief Executive of Enry's Island UK, the Local Company of Enry's Island distributed corporate ecosystem. Supported by a team of professional PR, marketing, designers, analysts and partners, Gabriele oversees and coordinates all fundraising activities for the Enry's Island Group.
Gabriele is an avid reader and writer, having published 5 historical / adventure novels. In his spare time, he loves to sail, cycle, travel, cook and work out.
55, he boasts a very long experience within the world of the financial markets, started in 1990. After spending the first part of his career in large international banking groups such as Intesa Sanpaolo, American Express and Bayerische Landesbank as General Manager for their trading divisions, in 1998 he begins his entrepreneurial life with the launch of Sales S.p.A., starting off as a consulting firm to then become an authorised broker pursuant to art. 106 of Legislative Decree. 385/1993. From 2009 to 2021 he was Managing Director of the Italian branch of Forex Capital Markets, then his entrepreneurial streak took over again and contributed to the creation and launch of successful startups in the gaming, nft, padel and health and wellness sectors. A practicing sportsman, with a few marathons and multiple triathlons behind him, he was number 7 in the world in the Italian Tennis Federation Over 50 tennis ranking and, as captain-player, he led the Italian national team to the title of vice world champion in the Over55 category.
The organizational model, processes and tools of Enry's Island (and of the startups in the portfolio) are based on the Enry's Model, an industrial invention patent, filed with the IUBM, which organizes the management of Assets and Activities that contribute to the value creation (industrial and financial).
